About 7 minutes or so per side.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/07\/EG1_5733.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"EG1_5733\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1110\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/07\/EG1_5760.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"EG1_5760\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1111\" \/><br \/>\nAlmost done.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/07\/EG1_5739.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"EG1_5739\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1112\" \/><br \/>\nNoodles can&#8217;t wait to try the burgers as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/24\/2012<\/strong><br \/>\nToday I tried a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/bobby-flay\/buttermilk-southwestern-grilled-chicken-recipe\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Buttermilk Southwestern Chicken<\/a> recipe from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/bobby-flays-barbecue-addiction\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Bobby Flay&#8217;s Barbecue Addiction<\/a>. I also tried a different temperature cooking the chicken. Started at 375 until breast hit 140 degrees, then put the controller to high for last 30 degrees.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5728.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nAlso made potatoes, 2 different kind of sausages (spicy italian sausage and the other is stuffed with cheese and garlic) and some garlic cloves drizzled with olive oil. The sausages I started at smoke for about an hour. Then took them off about 30 min later when I put the chicken in.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5731.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nChicken is getting there.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5732.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nChicken done. Skin is nice and crispy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/23\/2012<\/strong><br \/>\nNew igniter came in. It was pretty easy to replace. Thank you to BrianEibner for the tip. Check out his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=icP1aoC-EYE&amp;feature=fvwrel\" target=\"_blank\">youtube video on replacing the hot rod<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tested the Junior w\/ 1\/2 chicken and some pototes. Chicken was rubbed with honey and a brown sugar cajun seasoning. Used the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.frogmats.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Frogmats<\/a> for the first time during this cook.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5721.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is where the Junior resides. I can easily view it from my kitchen window.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5723.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chicken done.<br \/>\n<img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5724.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/21\/2012<\/strong><br \/>\nFirst smoke&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.traegergrills.com\/Media\/pdf\/Manuals\/Manual_Lighting_Procedure.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">manually started<\/a>)<br \/>\n<img class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5328.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/ortechcontrols.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ortech TR-100<\/a> installed. Also the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maverickhousewares.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Maverick ET-732<\/a> in place to monitor bbq temp and food.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"http:\/\/www.eestudios.us\/traegerjunior\/EG1_5333.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\n4 lb pork shoulder and rack of ribs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EVERYTHING<\/strong> came out great.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/14\/2012<\/strong><br \/>\nThis was suppose to be the maiden voyage of the Junior. However, the igniter (hot rod) was DOA. Called Traeger and a replacement was sent out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7\/12\/2012<\/strong><br \/>\nI&#8217;ve always been a BBQ fan. After months of reading different forums (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbq-brethren.com\/forum\/index.php\">The BBQ Brethren<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stumpssmokersforum.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stump&#8217;s Nation<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/pelletheads.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pelletheads<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/threedogsbbq.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Three Dogs BBQ blog<\/a>), I decided to pick up a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.traegergrills.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Traeger Wood Pellet Grill<\/a> smoker. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.traegergrills.com\/shop\/grills\/BBQ055\">Traeger Junior<\/a> to be exact. I bought the Junior from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbqnj.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bourbon BBQ Hickory Smokehouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the Junior with the <a href=\"http:\/\/pelletheads.com\/index.php?topic=12227.0\" target=\"_blank\">TDB Hopper Extension<\/a>.
